Ranger Rambles - Meet every Thursday, 10am at the Cafe, Oxleas Wood for these FREE rambles. These brisk walks take approximately ninety minutes, taking you through our local parks and woods and finishing at the Cafe. Wear sturdy footwear and comfortable clothing. Oxleas Wood Tours - Every second Sunday of the month, join a Park Ranger as they lead a tour of these ancient woodlands. Meet at 10am at the Cafe, Oxleas Wood for these FREE tours. Wear sturdy footwear and comfortable clothing. For more information contact the Park Rangers on 020 8856 0100.
Oxleas Wood Volunteer Workdays - Do you care about your local woodlands and have some time to spare one Saturday per month? If so why not join the Park Rangers and the Shooters Hill Woodlands Working Park to undertake light woodland work. The team of volunteers meet on the second Saturday of each month at the Cafe, Oxleas Wood from 10am. Strong boots and warm clothing should be worn. FRIENDS OF SHREWSBURY PARK
Friends of Shrewsbury Park is a voluntary organisation that was set up to:
- Support and encourage the use of Shrewsbury Park
- Support the development of facilities for recreation, education and amenities for local people and to encourage a sense of community around the area of the Park.
- Promote harmony within the community and to actively work against all forms of discrimination within it so that no one is disadvantaged by reason of ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, class, income, employment status or religious belief.
- Provide a safe environment for the park users and wildlife and to promote such schemes as will benefit and nurture wildlife.

Shooters Hill Lawn Tennis Club Ltd - located off Eaglesfield Road, this members tennis club is very friendly and welcomes players of all abilities.
